Junior Day is designed for high school boys soccer players that want to work directly with college coaches in an on-field environment. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college soccer student-athletes or want to learn more about that process. The camp will feature quality instruction from active college coaches, evaluations provided by the coaching staff through the instructional process, and a Seminar on Recruiting and the College Experience for both players and parents. The college coaches on site will provide feedback verbally but will also instruct the campers on how to improve. The camp is open to all high school boys soccer players and is restricted in enrollment. The player-to-coach ratio will not exceed 8:1. These camps are in compliance with all NCAA rules.
The Junior Day Camp will feature two sessions, a Morning session that will run from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and an Afternoon Session that will run from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. These sessions will have limited enrollment and once capacity is filled registration will close. There is an option to sign up for both the Morning Session and Afternoon Session for a combined discounted price. This option is designed for those players wanting to maximize their time in front of the college coaches and showcase their versatility.

EVALUATION
Each segment of camp will consist of player evaluation and skill training on the technical and tactical competences of the game. Players will be taken through a series of drills to work on all of these various skills. There will be a position based skills session as well. Players will have the opportunity to work with college coaches in their specific position.
It is very important to know that each session has a limited enrollment. We aim for a player-to-coach ratio of 6:1 but will not exceed 8:1. This ensures that the coaches can spend quality time with all players attending and are not overwhelmed with large numbers while in instructional or evaluative settings. This also ensures that prospects will have time to interact with the coaches and learn from them in various group and one-on-one interactions.
To encourage interaction between the coaches and players, we highly recommend players to ask questions of the staff and obtain any and all information they would like to know. The verbal evaluation is designed to be informative but not restrictive. Players will also be instructed in improving the skills areas that they are having evaluated. Through dialogue with the coaches, players will be provided with information that they can use to compare and contrast where they stand with current college soccer players.
WHY IS IT A CAMP AND A SHOWCASE?
Well, because it's the best of both worlds. Players want to showcase their skills to coaches, but they should also want to learn from the coaches. Coaches want to evaluate players and their skills so they can teach them appropriately, just like they do with their own players. Coaches also want to see how players react to new instruction, new techniques and how they socialize with peers and other coaches.
At the Junior Day Camp the college coaches will be on the field working directly with you throughout the entire day. They will run each station and coordinate the event with the staff at the Junior Day Camp. You will be able to ask questions and get to know the coaches. They will be able to do the same with you. Come prepared to work directly with college coaches to showcase your skills and learn from them at the same time. Coaches need to know how players receive and execute instruction. The Junior Day Camp gives high school players and college coaches the opportunity to work together in a small group and one-on-one atmosphere.
